Adams Golf, maker of the No.1 Hybrids on the PGA Tour and European Tour, signed four-time Major Champion Ernie Els at the beginning of the 2014 season.
The new partnership will see Els using a range of products from Adams Golf, including its industry-leading second-shot focused products, and will showcase the brand’s logo on his bag and headwear.
Ernie Els has 70 professional career victories to his name, including four Major Championships, two World Golf Championships and a record seven World Match Play Championship titles. As a former World No.1 Ernie is one of the most prolific winners of his generation and the global reach of his victories is almost without parallel. Ernie has triumphed in tournaments all over the world – in South Africa, Europe, the United States, Asia, the Far East, the Middle East and Australasia.
A key part of Ernie’s golf course design philosophy is focused on the strategic values of the second shot, which makes for a perfect fit with Adams Golf where the brand’s focus is also on the second shot. Els adds, “Adams is a company that want to expand internationally and are opening offices all over the world so I think we are a pretty good fit as I play such a global schedule. Their enthusiasm and energy, along with their strong products, were a major part of this decision and I very much look forward to the season ahead.”
