As is customary, the journey began in Hawaii in January and it concluded in Phoenix in November when Ernie wrapped-up his season with a tied-13th place finish at the Charles Schwab Cup Championship. It was his 23rd event on the 2024 PGA TOUR Champions schedule, in which he registered three wins and finished second on the Charles Schwab Cup Points List.
“I think it was probably the most competitive season I’ve been involved with since I’ve been out here on the Champions Tour,” commented Ernie. “No one really dominated, so it was a really close battle right down to the wire. I think we can expect more of the same next season. We’ll have more fresh faces coming out here in 2025, the standard of play is extremely high. As always, you’ll have to really be on your game to win.”
