The Els Club Vilamoura was officially opened for play by Ernie Els on July 21, 2025. It is our first Els Club in Europe and the only private club of its kind in Portugal; a place that reflects not only a commitment to world-class golf, but also a passion for excellence, sense of family and community, and the finer things in life.

Did you know…

The Els Club Vilamoura will host a brand new stroke play tournament in the summer of 2026, the Portugal Invitational, a 78-man Champions Tour event and the first TOUR-sanctioned event of its kind in this beautiful country.
