Starting last week’s Travelers with a 66 was just the kind of round I was looking for and I felt really comfortable with my game that day, which makes it all the more disappointing to follow-up with a 76 and miss the cut.

The Travelers is a great tournament and a fun golf course. The fans are fantastic, too. I really wanted to be there at the weekend. All I can do is say thanks to everyone at Travelers for the wonderful hospitality; it was really appreciated. On and off the golf course everything was absolutely first rate and being choppered around Rhode Island was a particular highlight! Congratulations also to Bubba on a superb performance and his second win at TPC River Highlands.

After leaving Connecticut we flew to England at the weekend for a family vacation. The timing is ideal. The weather looks great for the UK and one of the year’s great sporting events – Wimbledon – is on for the next couple of weeks. We’ll try to visit Centre Court at least a couple of times, as we do most years. I feel privileged being there as a sports fan, watching tennis played at a spectacular level and soaking up the unique atmosphere. It’s a special place.

Elsewhere, I’m looking forward to meeting up with some of my buddies here in London and playing some friendly-competitive golf and hopefully get some tennis in against my daughter Samantha.

Schedule-wise, my next tournaments are the Open Championship at St Andrews followed by the RBC Canadian Open at Glenn Abbey in Ontario. That’s two great weeks to look forward to!

And talking of RBC, you’ll probably know that the team is running again with the #RBCGolf4Kids charity fundraising campaign involving all of the company’s 15 golfing ambassadors, of which I’m proud to be one. As I said in last week’s report, we’re already having some fun with various challenges and competitions and there’s much more to come. We’d love you to get involved via Twitter, either @TheBig_Easy or @ElsForAutism. You can also find out more information by clicking here.

Okay, that’s it for now. I’ll write again soon.
